Nice mouseover, mouseout

I wonder if there is a way to do multiple mouseovers for a slide show effect. That would be cool.

I've had dreams of such a function. I've even considered devoting time to developing something like that when I have more time available. So if anybody knows of how to do something like...create a mouse wheel controlled flip-book of pictures online...then I am absolutely a person you should tell.
