The last infoshop mysteriously disappeared from in front of Cafe Vita at 4th and Franklin. In related news, the Industrial Worker newspaper box also disappeared from that corner. The new 24 hour anarchist infoshop continues providing anarchist reading material 24 hours a day for free to the local community. It's now located at 4th and Capital in front of US Bank.

All materials are free. Feel free to take, borrow and leave print information. Enjoy.

Permit

I thought that vending boxes and newspaper boxes needed a permit to be placed on public sidewalks? That could be the reason they were removed.

But I am Just Another Voice

I've looked and looked

I can't find an RCW that says so. When the IWW decided to put the box up they called the city and someone there said no permit was required. I don't think WIP has a permit. I could be wrong on all of this, It's not uncommon to get different answers from different people at the city, but I can't find anything that says you need a permit.

The boxes have been there for a while. I'm glad they're back. There's some good stuff in there.
