It’s not a rumor it’s a fact! Su is the instigator and we joined her and at least a dozen of here coconspirators last Friday for a wonderful evening of musical bliss. Will she be there next Friday if the weather is good? Well you will just have to drop in and find out for yourself! Bring an instrument just in case. Drum Fun Hosted by Scott Bishop The Olympia drum circle known as "Drum Fun" is happening regularly! They are meeting Wednesdays at the United Churches. (110 11th Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501) They will be making fun rhythms from 7pm to 9pm and hope you can make it. Bring your instruments if you have some or share theirs if you don't. This is an amazing ongoing group of volunteers lead by the founder Jay Sicilia. In 2004 they were awarded the “Cultural Diversity and Community Service Award” from Thurston County. This is a really fun and educational musical experience. The intriguing rhythms are mesmerizing. Mas Uda Translates to “happy” or “fortunate” and they are famous for sharing their joy and enthusiasm wherever they perform. Instructor, Kashani offers classes and workshops in dance, Middle Eastern rhythms and finger cymbals among other topics.
