Some of us are still exploring the possibility of daylighting Moxlie Creek. During our conversations a number of resources have come to light. I thought I'd list them here so people could find them all in one place. Moxlie Creek

I'm perpetually curious what everybody in Olympia is reading, so I created a group on the book sharing site Goodreads called "Oly Reads." If you like to talk about books, come on over and join.

Wow, that title is a mouthful. I like it though. I live in Kyoto, Japan (yes, I miss Oly) and me email ballot came the other day. Since I made a voter guide for the primary a while back I thought I would make another. I am a little busy at the moment so I made it a wiki. I guess we risk getting in accurate info if we get a vandal, but let's see is the "broken window theory" works. Look at my old one for ideas and please reference sources. Good luck. The wiki is here. ciao -bdmp

Painting or just paint? Portland continues its graffiti debate Some defend it as street art, but there's still plenty of resistance to tagging, even in funky Portland, where painters and businesses have an occasion to face off.

![]() Jon is doing a Halloween Countdown, posting something daily on scary fun stuff Allie gets into the spirit with Enjoy the Creepy Digs, Yo! Jeremy asks Are you a Basher? Fred writes a Samhain Meditation, including: Samhain is the turning point, the threshold, where the veil between spirit and matter is thin as a whisp. We sense a world of souls around us. We sense the Holy Spirit vibrating in the silence. We sense the spirits of the newly departed, who wish us farewell before commencing their journey. We sense the spirits of the plant kingdom and animal-guides celebrating the harvest with us. We sense the presence of our ancestors, to whom we make offerings of love on the alter of the heart's remembrance. What do you have planned for this season? |
