One Million Blogs for Peace

I believe in the immediate withdrawal of all foreign combat troops from the nation of Iraq. I believe in using my blog, in whole or in part, as a tool toward this end.

Comparing slavery in the US to what is going on with the OlyPMR, as a means to justify domestic terrorism, is a process that is without merit (in my opinion).

Iraq is not "the South", it is a nation separate from the US.

For some reason that comparision just gets me riled up--

OlyPMR is saying that protest is the "right thing to do", and I disagree.

In my opinion, the "right thing to do" would be to move to another country that has a different foreign policy and deprive the US of tax-dollars, but that is a pricey option that won't work for everyone...and not paying taxes is just as illegal as blocking military transports.

#1
I don't support the war, only the use of the miltary for defense.

#2
I like people, but not folks that want to fight--

I feel sorry for anyone (to an extent) that is in this mess without consent, but isn't the choice to join the military a choice...could have picked another career/job/work.

I made a choice not to join the military because I didn't want to be used, and have read enough about serving to know that for most folks, it is an entirely lame experience--

--what is so great about the US military/armed forces anyways?

I do not support the "OlyPMR".

I acknowledge the OlyPMR position on US policy, and I support “non-violent/peaceful protest/right-to-assembly” actions.

I think the “war” is a very, very awful tragedy, and I disagree with my government strongly on foreign policy issues (my opinion is that the US should not use military force except in the direct retaliation against forces intent on occupying or destroying the US nation).

My understanding is that the OlyPMR is intent on blocking/delaying military transports, and I think that the OlyPMR intent is a mild form of domestic terrorism.

I watch "24" on netflix, so what would Jack Bauer do?

Oh, PS: last time I was talking to some buds of mine (I won't drop any names), I heard the best thing to do (if you wanna make a change in the war), was to direct letter writing campaigns designed to get folks in the service that don't want to be there back home...I'd also like to raise the topic that some folks in the service are doing some really criminal & evil stuff, and they probably want the war to go on...the real question is how many evil folks are there at the top in control of the big decisions, vs. just your average in the street grunt, the "alleged" freak-out GI gang-bang killer we see in the news...

...the stuff that freaks me out is the UAVs, a much bigger issue in my opinion.

What was with the weather yesterday? First it would be thick and furious snow, then sunny blue skies, then thick and flurious with snow, then all blue and sunshiny again. Back and forth all day long. Could this have been foreshadowing of March coming in like a lion and leaving like a lamb?

It reminded me of Sleeping Beauty when the fairies were fighting over the dress being blue or pink.

I'm new to this whole Caiman thing but since they're reptiles I can't imagine that their bodies can handle rapid flip-flop changes like that.

From the "David Live" era, which, well, if you know that you sort of know, but the video is good and at least the music is passable, although not as good as on the original recording.

By the way, not to get political or anything, but I'm posting these two videos, as well as the Warhol video below, in the interest of gay liberation...
But you should watch them because they're good videos.
