Quality Burrito, an long-standing favorite with the OlyBlog crowd, and has also undergone a metamorphosis: Quality Burrito is now "QB". QB is now located in the space previously inhabited by the Chinatown, between Spider Monkey and Last Word Books. In an act of selfless devotion to our readers, Rick and Carolyn ventured out on Saturday morning to bring you this detailed reveiw:

  • Initial impressions: "Is this place open?" Indeed it was open, and with plenty of seating. New hours are Tues.-Sat. from 9-3 and 5-12; Sun. 10-3; and closed on Mon.

  • Atmosphere: We were very happy to discover that QB retains the causual friendliness of the old Quality Burrito. There were fresh flowers on the table, and while this may sound hokey, it was appropriate for the open of a new restaurant. *Important* Lighting was low -- perfect for those of you who are hypersensitive to light first thing in the morning (for reasons that will go unnamed).
  • Food: Portions were LARGE. So, bring it. This place can handle your hunger. In addition to all the previous offerings, new menu items include tahini salad, sweet potato fries, sandwiches, fish & chips, and lots of vegan options with everything. There is a new intriguing burrito option: Vera Lou's Double Meat Burrito. (We're looking forward to trying that.) Most of all, though, QB has a whole selection of breakfast items, and b'fast is served all day.
  • Most revealing quote from the meal: "Oh, dear god!" by Carolyn as she worked her way through the Meaty Breakfast Burrito.

Bottom line: We're hooked.

From Peace begets Peace:

Our humble request:

1- Please include any one or two representatives from the 2 local mosques

OR

2- Include Chaplain James Yee (local Olympian) - email - "j y" < justice4yee@yahoo.com>,
or the President of the Mosque - Br. Nabil Azouz email - < nazouz@yahoo.com>,
or the Imam (leader of the prayers) Imam Joban - email - < mjoban@comcast.net>,

All of the above are excellent moderate muslims.

Question - Should we go for this program ? Should we engage them ? Should we give a rebuttal to any false propaganda or intentional misconceptions ?
The College Republicans' forum will be at 7:30 PM on March, 29 at Trautman Union Building on the St.Martin's University.

I shut off comments here, so go over to Peace begets Peace and discuss.
