Ruby Re-Useable art blogs on Olympia Dumpster Divers, check out her observations of The Olympia Free Wall (alley on Washington street downtown between 4th and 5th).
» Included are photos of some of those mysterious dead bird heads. Recently, someone has been zip-tying these cardboad heads on the pipes (I haven’t seen them anywhere else yet, but I hope they will be all around downtown for Arts Walk).

![]() Need to get outta town? Go biodiesel via the Shared Route passenger shuttle service. Buses run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between Portland, Olympia, and Seattle. Fares are better than Greyhound and the ride looks much more comfortable. Plus they have delivery and charter service available.

Greetings Olybloggers.
» Just wanted to get the word out that after a long downtime, 87.7 FM has flipped the power switch back on. Now in stereo and with 50% more power, on hardware that promises not to provide headaches and heartbreak. The site is up and running now too. http://877oly.org It features a now playing list, a calendar, useful links, and a handy new uploader page. If you have something you want to share, like your band or your show or your Bone Thugs in Harmony - Carpenters mashup experiment, upload it through there and shoot me an email and I'll put it on the calendar and on the air. Glad to be back, - DJTJ ![]()

Apr 14 2007 - 12:00pm Apr 14 2007 - 6:00pm Come downtown on the 14th from noon to 6pm and check out the Climate Action Day Festival at Sylvester Park. There will be Musical performances by The Blackberry Bushes and Planet Percussion; speakers including Native activist Kyle Taylor Lucas, Barry Cannon of the Gleaners coalition, and others. Visit the “Global Warming Café” for some tasty grub and to learn how you can reduce your contributions to Carbon emissions. Take the futuristic Waterfront tour and see where the tide may rise to by the year 2050 and how that will affect Olympia. And if you are interested in getting to the festival in fashion, hop on the permitted bike ride that will head downtown at 11:30 from Harrison and Division. For more information on the Climate Action Day happening the 14th of this month contact Chris Stegman at c.stegman@comcast.net or visit www.stepitup07.org. |
