my friend and riding compatriot had her bike stolen yesterday out of her garage. It was open for only a few minutes and then poof! Gone was the bike. It wasn't a $5000 bike, but it was used everyday for transportation so if anyone sees this bike, please let me know.

I'm not rife with reward money, but have more fresh homemade strawberry jam (Spooner Farms, yeah!) than you could ever eat, plus a nephew who works in a bike shop should you ever need help, parts, etc. We're hoping for it's swift return! After my post seeking artists for a mural, CIA Guy and I hooked up on PM and this morning on the phone. The Olympia Elks Lodge is picking up the tab for materials and CIA Guy is hooking up the youth artists and adult supervision. Watch the progress on the building, starting in about two weeks. The kids get something constructive to do and a sense of ownership in their community. The Lodge gets to provide a positive environment for the kids (part of the Elks mission). The building will look cool and the tagging will hopefully stop. Amazing things happen when people work together to find their similarities and forget their differences. Thanks CIA Guy! I'm looking forward to watching and participating in an improvement in our community. Thanks olyblog for carrying the water from the well. I'll try to make my donation before leaving town. |
