Daughter down for her nap, I begin to collect myself by collecting together toys: stuffed animals who can sit do so upon the building block box, the building blocks box pushed in front of the rocking chair, shoes placed on Goldie The Bear, magnets back to the refrigerator. And I started to think about the Alphabet Song. A...B...C...D...E,F,G...H...why do we even bother to teach the order of the alphabet? Does this order actually play any role of value in language?

Jul 19 2007 - 7:00pm Jul 19 2007 - 8:30pm The Heart of Africa is a presentation of the faculty of the International Trauma Treatment Program. Early this past winter, four faculty members of the International Trauma Treatment Program traveled to Uganda to conduct trainings, workshops, and to work with internally displaced people in refugee camps while collaborating with a local Ugandan relief organization, Pilgrm. Together, ITTP and Pilgrim created relationships and experiences great moments of collaboration. Please join us for an evening of photos, stories, and celebration.
