Wow....look at me.....I even got the Olyblog nomenclature down. Seriously - thanks to everyone for the warm friendship exchanged tonight. Lots of laughs. Norm - I don't ever think I can take you seriously again, but I'll try. Looking forward to next time. I'll blog this week about Mrs Larry and I in the hot tub at Naches. Huh....goodgawd.....too hot in the hot tub. Thanks again for the fun

I am trying to find information about a 1910 Victorian house in Bacoda. Can anyone tell me anything about this house?

... at the famous "666" sign as you pass McCleary on SR8 going west to Elma. Since this photo was taken the sign has been lowered-- probably in an effort to make it safer for all the inevitable copycats out there.

Here's a slideshow showing where we started back in June. There are more images that wouldn't fit here but it might be a while before I get to making them public.

During the last few months I have been seeing turkey vultures in the McCleary area. This is the first time (and I've been a resident, off and on, out here for over 40 years) that I have seen them in this vicinity. Until recently, we had to travel a bit south, to the Lewis/Grays Harbor County border to see them. Are there any ornithologists in the OlyBlog community who can explain this? |
