Where do you go out to eat? What is your favorite bar or lounge? Who mixes a perfect martini, who makes a to-die-for lasagna? Write us up a review and I'll add it to our Oly Eats & Drinks. Work at a local restaurant? Tell us all about it. Have a quirky eating and drinking in Oly story? Please share. I certainly don't have all our prior food stories collected yet so if you don't see your own listed, please let me know. (Thanks to oldtimeydave for idea.)

At the end of June, renowned mythologist and storyteller Michael Meade visited Olympia. Community Youth Services and the Mosaic Multicultural Foundation conducted a week-long series of workshops for young people to create spoken word about their dreams, hopes and aspirations. YAYA Media was privileged to be part of those workshops and document the event on videotape.

Are you miffed at Baird's position on Iraq after his return from the country?
» Here is an opportunity for folks to talk to him directly over the radio to a huge audience. 94.9fm 1pm http://www.kuow.org/programs/theconversation.asp Should US Troops In Iraq Have More Time? Third District Congressman Brian Baird caused a stir with his Friday op ed in the Seattle Times. He is calling for more time for the U.S. military strategy to succeed in Iraq. Baird wrote 'the people, strategies and facts on the ground have changed for the better and those changes justify changing our position on what should be done.' Is he right? I'm Ross Reynolds. It's The Conversation. Baird voted against the war and has been a long-time critic. Some bloggers are going after the Congressman, charging that he is falling for Bush administration spin. We'll hear what Congressman Baird has to say. Do you think the US military effort is succeeding? Is it succeeding enough? Is the right policy to pull US troops out as soon as possible? Or should we wait and see? Call in your thoughts before the show to The Conversation feedback line, (206) 221-3663 or send email to conversation@kuow.org. Join us on the air by calling (206) 543-KUOW or (800) 289-KUOW.
