Breaking News: Judge says MSNBC must include Kucinich

A judge in Nevada has just ordered MSNBC to include Rep. Dennis Kucinich in Tuesday's Democratic Party presidential debate in Las Vegas or he will cancel the forum.

Senior Clark County District Court Judge Charles Thompson vowed to issue an injunction halting the nationally televised debate if MSNBC failed to comply. Kucinich had filed a lawsuit seeking to be included just this morning.

(UPDATE: Late Monday, according to the Associated Press, NBC indicated that if Judge Thompson officially signed his order Tuesday morning, it would appeal that decision to the Nevada Supreme Court, seeking to keep Kucinich out of the evening's debate.)

The judge ruled Monday it was a matter of fairness and Nevada voters would benefit from hearing from more than just Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Barack Obama. Kucinich had been invited to participate in the 6 p.m. Pacific debate Tuesday, but that invitation was rescinded last week following the ...

If you think about it, this could be seen as humanitarian aid to to poor sucker who would have been talked it to strapping the explosives around his body and entering a Israeli market or bus stop.

"Terror groups take advantage of Israeli permit allowing humanitarian goods into impoverished Gaza Strip, attempt to smuggle two tons of fertilizer in truck transporting aid in second such incident this week"

[Jan 22, '08: for more information about impeachment in WA State, please see Washington for Impeachment]

I received this via e-mail:
Impeachment Hearing in WA State Senate!

Thursday, January 17, 3:30 p.m.

Please come to the public hearing for SJM 8016, which calls for a full investigation of Bush and Cheney.

Thurs. Jan. 17, 3:30 p.m.
Room 2 of the Cherberg Bldg.,
426-14th Ave. SW, Olympia WA
immediately SE of the State Capitol bldg.

State Senator Eric Oemig has introduced Substitute Senate Joint Memorial 8016, petitioning Congress to investigate impeachable offenses allegedly committed by President George Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney. It will be heard in the Senate Government Operations and Elections Committee on Thursday, January 17th.

Senator Oemig revised 2007’s Senate Joint Memorial 8016 for 2008 (now SJM 8016 2007-08). The bill cites serious allegations of crimes by the Office of the Executive. A long list of violations to the US Constitution and federal law includes warrantless searches, manipulating intelligence to mislead Congress about the reasons for attacking Iraq, condoning torture, and subverting the rule of law.

As spelled out in the U.S. Constitution, the bill calls on the U.S. House of Representatives to conduct full a full investigation of Bush and Cheney’s impeachable offenses, and it calls for the U.S. Senate to conduct the trial. You can read revised bill at www.washingtonforimpeachment.org...

More than 500 impeachment supporters attended the 2007 hearing. Let’s increase the number of supporters attending in 2008!

Randy Loun, of Bremerton.  He is a civil rights attorney and makes much of his living sueing local police agencies.  Basically this time around, he is going to write a letter to the OPD and City Attorney about the legality of my actions, the illegality of the OPD's actions, and what will happen if this continues.  I don't want to delve into much detail, but suffice it to say it is no longer Me vs the entire City of Olympia.

I read somewhere in a book about the opening and explotation of "the west" that the favorite weapon of the west was not the sixgun, but rather the lawsuit....  Seems I may have both in my arsenal now.

Just when it seemed that cyberspace was safe again, there is reason to believe that a new cyber army is waging war. In 2005 the Pentagon logged over 79,000 intrusion attempts into their network. From this about 1,300 were successful, including the penetration of computers linked to the Army's 101st and 82nd air force and 4th infantry divisions.

The attacks aren't directed at just one government agency either. In August and September of the same year, Chinese hackers penetrated US State Department computers in several countries. As a result, hundreds of computers had to be replaced or taken offline for months, to make the necessary provisions.

Jim Melnick, a retired Pentagon computer network analyst, told Time magazine that the Chinese military holds hacking competitions to identify and recruit talented members for a "cyber army."

Chinese military documents and generals' speeches contain elements that support this claim. Namely, China has expressed its ambition to extend its efforts to cripple an enemy's "financial, military and communications capabilities early in a conflict." A study conducted by the Pentagon has found that China's military regards offensive computer operations as critical in the first stages of war.

In fact, cyber attacks by China are said to be so frequent and aggressive that President George W. Bush has raised the subject with Chinese Communist leader Hu Jintao when they met at the Apec summit in Sydney, Australia.

Big surprise right? I know...I'm shocked to (can you hear the sarcasm?) So when will George W. decide to start a war on "Cyber-Terrorism"?

In 2002 SESAME, Students Educating Students About the Middle East, was created by students returning from Palestine after volunteering with the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) and in response the looming threat of war on Iraq. Rachel Corrie's death and the beginning of the occupation of Iraq occurred within days of each other. Since then SESAME has expanded to include solidarity, advocacy, education and action on issues surrounding racism, human rights and foreign policy.
