On Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 4-6pm, ConspiraZine features Kent Daniel Benkowski of the Kentroversy Tapes, interviewing occult historian Tracy R. Twyman who discusses the occult foundation of the American monetary system. Also presented is Henrik Palmgren of Red Ice Creations interviewing publisher A. J. Bruno, a victim of electronic mind control. They discuss the physical effects of EMF weaponry along with the connection between UFO's, aliens and government-sponsored mind control. ConspiraZine is heard on Free Radio Olympia at 98.5 FM or can be heard via mp3 stream at www.frolympia.org. ConspiraZine - more conspiracy, less theory!

Guglielmo wanted to talk about the Buddhist concept of right actions. Here we go.
» I'll start it off with a link to the wikipedia page on "Noble Eightfold Path", and a quote from that article that defines this usage of the word "right". "In all of the elements of the Noble Eightfold Path, the word "right" is a translation of the word samyañc (Sanskrit) or sammā (Pāli), which denotes completion, togetherness, and coherence, and which can also carry the sense of "perfect" or "ideal"."

Speaking of which, the city is recruiting for eight advisory boards:
Do you care about Olympia? Do you live in the Urban Growth Area (not necessarily in the city limits)? You should apply before February 25! I would say that I'm seriously considering this myself, which would prove that I'm not a hypocrite, but I'm actually going to try to get on the Friends of the Olympia Library board. While not really an advisory board, they do a lot of work for a city owned building. And, if you're wondering if I'm going to turn this into a long string of posts, yes I am.

Almost every week this is the "What's on the city council's plate this week" review. I don't cover everything, so if you want the full rundown, read the packet and agenda yourself. Seriously boring packet this week, but in the interest of finding something to write about, I present the changes in the advisory boards for this year. Also, chad was talking earlier about these sorts of things, so just keeping that thread going. Also, I'm going to make it a point to encourage folks to get on these boards when the city is recruiting later this year. The council always seems to be tinkering with their advisory boards, but these changes seem straight forward enough. From the staff report:

I've become interested in this group and all the hype (from both sides) concerning it. To start this thread off I'm going to post the wikipedia article that is written about them. Here is the link to read it. I'm leaving some space here to clean this up a little later. Please note, that folks on this blog are obviously not the only ones crying foul when it comes to this organization. Halfway down the page you will see the heading, "Controversies regarding the ISM". I'm going to have a busy weekend in the evenings, but fairly slow ( I love it ) during the day, and will be trying to track down, strictly online, any information that I can to show some different sides regarding the ISM. Stay tuned.....

I figured it was time for another installment of the Armed Citizen. This one is out of Yakima Wa.
Jason Moore returned home to find a strange car outside. A concealed-carry license holder, he grabbed a .45-caliber handgun from his truck and inspected the home, finding the back door kicked in.
Once inside, he spied a man in the bedroom. He approached cautiously and spotted another suspect. The second man was holding Moore’s own shotgun. “I fired one round and he went down,” Moore said. “I immediately dialed 9-1-1 and told them not to move … I told them that a lot.” The injured suspect complied, but the other claimed to be a gang member who would have Moore killed.
When police arrived, they informed Moore that the injured suspect was wanted by U.S. Marshals on drug charges and his accomplice was a suspect in a homicide. “It’s just scary to know that there were two people that bad in my house and in my bedroom,” said Moore.

The Olympia Food Co-op is expanding in downtown Olympia. Are you part of our future? One of the goals of our expansion project is to attempt to co-locate our new grocery store with other organizations that further our mission of "contributing to the health and well-being of people by providing wholesome foods and other goods and services, accessible to all, through a locally-oriented, collectively managed, not for profit cooperative organization that relies on consensus decision making." In conjunction with the Northwest Cooperative Development Center, we are inviting potentially interested organizations to join us at the Olympia Center, Room 102, on Tuesday, February 12 from 6:30-8:30. The goal of this meeting is to begin discussing how we might work together to collectively develop a facility in downtown Olympia that meets our individual businesses needs, as well as the needs of our larger community. Won't you join us? We promise a lively discussion, tasty treats, and the chance to be a part of a project that we believe can help transform our community for the better. If you plan to attend please let us know so we can be sure to have enough chairs and snacks for everyone. If you need more information, please contact TJ Johnson at expansion@olympiafood.coop |
