The only decent pics I managed to get while trying to figure out this camera. One is kinda iffy in quality. Two pics below are of guns I took for insurance reasons. If guns, insurance and/or reasons make you nervous, scared, upset or otherwise unstable please don't look at them or yell at me for posting them.
Took this at the Broho tonight playing with night mode. Some real shady characters there huh? :-)
Fence by the old plywood plant near Westbay Marina....
YES, I own a JENNINGS J-22!!! What of it :-p When I got it it didn't work. It still doesn't work. Funny what happens when you loose the firing pin spring after making it work again... Cheap way to hone gunsmithing skills. When I'm finished tuning it, it should be a fun little POS. Gotta love Numrich.
My Ruger P89 with Mec-Gar mag inserted. Blurry I know. I was playing with zoom...

Apparently a 73 year old woman in Ohio was recently treated for "toxic levels of lead" in her new crown. I guess this is another area we have put ourselves at greater risk by developing a consumer rather than producer mindset society.

I was hit by a truck a few weeks ago while crossing a crosswalk.. The driver was drunk, and I was lucky and lived..I suffered alot of damage to both of my legs, including a fractured tibia and fibula on my left leg. These fractures, road wounds, and subsequent repairs (involving a titanium rod and a bunch of screws) left my left leg a big red sausage..I came to find out, with injuries like this, dangerous blood clots become an issue. They put me on Baxter Heparin injections in the hospital. Heparin is a blood thinner used to deal with blood clots. When I arrived home last week, I began to read stories about Heparin being recalled. Word is that 19 people are dead because of contaminated Heparin turning up in the United States (as of today in Germany too) Here is an article talking about the recall and causes.. Im posting this because the FDA is not letting the patients themselves know that they are taking a potentially contaminated product. I had to personally let my doctor and pharmacy know that this recall was even taking place. They were never formally notified by the FDA or the State of Washington. If you know any patients taking this popular drug, please let them know that all Baxter Heparin is being recalled because it is contaminated.. Thank You..

What bothers me about what happened at Evergreen after the Dead Prez show is this question; why didn't the police utilize nonviolent options of resolving the conflict before escalating and resorting to violence? For example, why didn't police use a bull horn to inform the crowd to back away from the surrounded vehicle so that the suspect could subsequently be safely released? It mightn't have been effective - but why wasn't such an effort made? The destructive behavior on the part of the post-concert-crowd occurred only after police entered the assemblage of concert-goers and utilized pepper spray. This question has probably been raised elsewhere, but I wanted to bring it up now in case it hasn't - or in case it hasn't been adequately addressed. [edit:] In addition: I think it's important. Did the police exhaust all options and sincerely attempt with all earnestness to defuse the situation without resorting to violence? If not, then I think this is a matter of police conduct that is worthy of further analysis. |
