Jun 5 2008 - 10:00am Jun 8 2008 - 5:00pm This weekend will be the great LEMON DAY extravaganza in town. Downtowns biggest sale of the year. Dozens of stores will participate and discount their great fare to rock-bottom prices. How can you afford to not be there. Well, we won't pay you to shop but with some of the deals you're getting it'll feel almost as if we would. Check out www.everydayolympia.com for more details.

I've been working away on the Friends of the Waterfront website, adding stuff about how the owners of the million dollar condos Triway wants to build would be excused from paying property taxes for ten years, etc. But personally, I'm most interested in thinking about exactly what images politicians, and people on the Planning Commission and the rest of us use in deciding what the city will look like for years and years. I'm pretty much done with commenting on Triway's images for the website. Now I'm starting to make my own versions, roughing out what the city might look like instead of having high rises down there. It's interesting — maybe we should have a virtual redevelopment contest... above-ground Moxlie Creek in Photoshop, etc. Here's a start

I listened to my intuition and went from the party to the Olympia Food Coop. I browsed the aisles until I realized it wasn't chipotle I was after. It was connection. I would leave only footprints and take only photos. After the photo ops with these local celebrities I headed home. and Lisa Smith of Enterprise for Equity! She let me know that they've moved the Summer Intensive Training schedule up. Instead of waiting until August I only have to wait two weeks! Wait a minute! Quitty and Equity?! What a quincidence!
