As a CHS parent, I just wanted to thank Sarah, Emmett and JT for the steps they took yesterday after receiving Anya Adora's posts. Emmett, I could really sense your emotions in your comments and posts yesterday and I want you to know you did all you knew to and could do and you did it quickly and should be proud of yourself. You may have adverted a tragic situation. Sarah, thank you for bringing the posts to the attention of others. You may have adverted a tragic situation as well. JT, you know I love ya man! Thanks for paying attention to Emmett and Sarah and acting on this tip! You always have my admiration! If I missed anybody else involved, my apologies and thanks to you as well! This situation could have been a disaster and thanks to those who were willing to step up when their red flags went up, you may have saved one or many students & faculty from harm! On behalf of my daughter and family, you're our heros! XO! Jules

I've spent the day going through myspace pages, starting with my oldest daughter's and checking each of her "friends" myspace pages for any current pictures or messages from her in hopes of finding out how and where she is. In doing so, I came across one's page who had a video called Downtowners on it. Downtowners is 47 minute documentary film that shares the voices of young people who are homeless in Olympia Washington, as they explore issues such as sexual violence, public space, gender roles, street culture, and community perceptions. These voices inspire a connection and understanding seldom experienced by those who lack direct experience with the streets. Often referred to as "at-risk", "marginalized", or "disadvantaged", these youth and young adults live on the fringes of society, and their struggles include uncertainty, instability, barriers to resources and lack of support in creating solutions. In an effort to raise awareness by deepening the dialogue about issues of youth homelessness and sexual violence, Downtowners introduces street life from the perspective of the young people who live it. I know most of these kids personally, having met them through my oldest daughter. They are her family. I'm sure some of you have come in contact with them or may possibly even work to help them. I had no idea a video on their lives and lifestyles had been made. I never did find anything out about my daughters well-being or whereabouts but found this video to be very profound and worth watching. To hear the dreams and goals of these kids broke my heart. I always heard how they liked their life, didn't want to ever go to another school again. To hear the child in them come out in the video is a side of them I never knew or saw. Now I know they have to act and be tough in order to survive but it really isn't the way they are.

His actual work phone number and email address was posted in the comments section at The O tonight at 10:45 PM. I found it at 1:35 AM and tried to call a human being at the O to request the removal of the info and the poster be banned for doing it but could only get voicemails in every department. Larry XXXX (360) 943-XXXX XXXXX@thurstonXXXX.org Posting his or anybody elses home or work information is completely unacceptable in any forum without his permission to do so. This poster did so under the assumption Larry is even a poster in the comments section. So many posters are accused of being Larry that even if he had the spare time to be all of them it still wouldn't be enough time! This really saddens me that somebody would stoop to such a low out of spite and revenge because someone doesn't hold the same values or opinions as the vicious poster.

I apologize for all the mean things I might have said.
» I apologize for all the things I did or didn't do. I apologize if I ever ignored you. I apologize if I ever made you feel bad or put you down. I apologize if I ever thought I was better than you. I apologize for everything wrong I've ever done. I care for you! Don't ever forget that! Through bad times and good, I'll always be here for you. I'm writing this because... what if... tomorrow...

Understand, it's not always about being right. It's about keeping strife out of your life. You can win every argument, but if it opens the door to turmoil, brings division, and tears you apart, in the end you didn't win at all - and you may have lost a lot.
