Quality Burrito, an long-standing favorite with the OlyBlog crowd, and has also undergone a metamorphosis: Quality Burrito is now "QB". QB is now located in the space previously inhabited by the Chinatown, between Spider Monkey and Last Word Books. In an act of selfless devotion to our readers, Rick and Carolyn ventured out on Saturday morning to bring you this detailed reveiw:

  • Initial impressions: "Is this place open?" Indeed it was open, and with plenty of seating. New hours are Tues.-Sat. from 9-3 and 5-12; Sun. 10-3; and closed on Mon.

  • Atmosphere: We were very happy to discover that QB retains the causual friendliness of the old Quality Burrito. There were fresh flowers on the table, and while this may sound hokey, it was appropriate for the open of a new restaurant. *Important* Lighting was low -- perfect for those of you who are hypersensitive to light first thing in the morning (for reasons that will go unnamed).
  • Food: Portions were LARGE. So, bring it. This place can handle your hunger. In addition to all the previous offerings, new menu items include tahini salad, sweet potato fries, sandwiches, fish & chips, and lots of vegan options with everything. There is a new intriguing burrito option: Vera Lou's Double Meat Burrito. (We're looking forward to trying that.) Most of all, though, QB has a whole selection of breakfast items, and b'fast is served all day.
  • Most revealing quote from the meal: "Oh, dear god!" by Carolyn as she worked her way through the Meaty Breakfast Burrito.

Bottom line: We're hooked.

Ive never had a Quality Burrito..

Is it better than the Taco Truck?

Those trucks make awesome burritos for cheap..

QB wins as my favorite restaurant

I'm obviously biased, but I think Quality Burrito blows The Taco Truck (you mean the silver one on the westside & the one in Lacey by Fred Meyer, right?) out of the water! In terms of lower cost, well maybe Taco Truck wins. Still, QB is low in price. It's a little more than Taco Truck, which, if I remember is like under $5 for a burrito. You could leave QB feeling completely full and likely have left-overs too for under $10. I like their potato & bacon tacos, their grilled mushroom, corn, & avocado tacos & their fish tacos which are like 2 for $4.60. I'm into saving a buck, yet their food kicks so much ass, that I'd pay TWICE that amount to eat it! Go & experience!

MMMmmm!

I definitely want to go & try that grilled mushroom, corn & avocado taco!  Sounds delish!

Now all I need to know is an address &/or directions there!

It's located where the old

It's located where the old "China Town" restaurant used to be, on the main strip of 4th Ave downtown.

The grilled steak cadillac burrito is unbelievable.

cadillac burrito

The cadillac is a great burrito experience. It's actually deep-fried, even though the menu says it's grilled. It's delicious.

Get the chipotle sour cream sauce on the side

With anything. It's good on anything. Well worth the extra 50 cents.

I've been there twice and

I've been there twice and both times I wished I had a bigger stomach so that I could've gotten more.

Be prepared; as of the last time I was there they don't take plastic.

Most places I know won't take those fake credit cards that come in the junk mail.

At least there are still

At least there are still some places that will take those rubber checks I used to order from the backs of comic books.

I always called them

"Quantity Burrito" although the food is fairly good.  Just TOO MUCH of it :-)
