Submitted by Robert Whitlock on Sat, 12/09/2006 - 10:38pm.And I agree, it wouldn't have been good to ignore. But I am certain that the type of reaction the "Nazi" provocateurs solicited was not the best response either.
As a non-ignoring alternative, I would have preferred to have seen a (more or less) silent yet visible vigil to bear witness - but not aggravate or antagonize the "Nazis." A vigil atmosphere could have been used to draw light to the horrors of the holocaust in Nazi Germany.
But the sort of reaction the 'Nazis' provoked played right into their attention seeking hands.
