Even people who call themselves Nazis need love. Before their upcoming performance here in our city, I thought I'd help make everyone feel more at home by providing introductions. We don't know yet who all will be performing, if we are lucky, SS Mann Mark Martin will be one of the Nazis on stage. (Updated note: Mr. Martin did not make an appearance.) His email is ss_asatru@yahoo.com. Mr. Martin in reality is based in Ohio, in fantasy in Nazi Germany. He is a tireless worker for the cause. Mr. Martin also uses the nickname "Frank Furter". And he is quoted in a May 2006 Time Magazine article: "How Immigration is Rousing the Zealots". Mr. Martin is an ex-Marine, a chef, and he also prizes his organic garden. We can adopt him as a penpal and guide him to the understanding that we too in Olympia prize our organic gardens, we love our food, and we really are also truly human, just like him. Any potential penpals of Mr. Martin need to be aware that he tends to express himself rather boisterously, so caution is advised. (He can get downright rude.) This photo captures him in just such a moment. [ Image via Citizens Against Hate]

Submitted by Sarah on Mon, 06/12/2006 - 7:57am.Meta, we are gonna have to fight for Jim. See, I claimed him first. Though......since you baptized me, I guess I will share. Very reluctantly though and only if we can have loud shouting arguments over our Nazi from time to time.
I'll write up his post for the Adopt a Nazi series soon, for now I'll just divulge tantalizing tidbits. His original name is Matthew Ramsey. One reason he chose Olympia might very well be because it is not Portland, Oregon.
