What with fuel prices reaching higher altitudes, Boeing has become a fan of the Algal Biomass Organization. Hmmm, where could someone get thier hands on a seemingly endless supply of algae...

Yes it could!

...but not for fuel algae.

I'd think that a natural tidal zone would attract lots of nature watchers, and also be a nice park/preserve like Nisqually.

Tourism is cool; you get to meet folks and show off the beauty of the South Sound, and with the bike trails and local parks like Mt. Rainer, this place could be hopping if promoted the right way (eco-tourism).

Imagine a tidal river basin to watch each day RIGHT IN DOWNTOWN! How freaking cool is that?

Microbes that turn waste in oil...

Scientists find bugs that eat waste and excrete petrol

Silicon Valley is experimenting with bacteria that have been genetically altered to provide 'renewable petroleum'

Run your VW bug with bug pooh

I say we convert the old brewery into an algae fuel processing plant with a wing of it focused on genetically modified bug pooh fuel. As about as reasonable an idea as that whole bottled water fiasco.

Not a bad idea

And since these buggies can feed on wood chips, then logging slash could be diverted to making microbe excrement instead.

Is Joke, Right?

Miller Brewing ripped out anything and everything that could be used for brewing or distilling as part of their international plan to eliminate competitors to the evil swill they bottle. Miller was sure to leave nothing but a concrete shell and a river running by it. That and a huge hole in the employment and tax base of the tri-cities.
