The John Doe was found in the woods off of Cedar Flats Road last March. It's estimated he was there 1 to 5 years before discovery.

He was six feet tall, at least fifty, and (from The Doe Network) "The bottom eight vertebrae of his spine fused together. He may have walked bent over because of the fusion of his spine."

If anyone can think back a few years to someone who matches this description, even if you can't remember his name, even if you're not 100% sure, every little bit helps. Be aware that the artist's sketch isn't intended to be the exact likeness.

I remember in the Olympian

I remember in the Olympian comments concerning this a few months ago, one of the Olybloggers (unfortunately I'm drawing a blank as to who) said the description sounded like a homeless person they knew who they hadn't seen in a few years. I hope you passed that information on to LE. Even if it was a false hope every little bit helps.

I now remember who I'm

I now remember who I'm thinking of, I even shot them a PM about it here. Since I hadn't heard back I hope it's not a case where information is being withheld due to fear or distrust of the police. That would be misguided and tragic.

I remember a homeless man

I remember a homeless man who sort of fits this description. Although I don't remember him to be 6 feet tall. So I may be totally wrong. I remember he had brown hair, and he roamed the sidewalks. His main mission appeared to be to ask people for cigarettes. He was stooped over and sort of shuffled his feet to move along. He appeared to have been in his 50's. And I haven't seen him around for a year or two now. I never learned his name. He seemed very insecure and seemed to sort of stutter when he talked. Hope this helps.

I remember that guy

He finally stopped asking for cigarettes and started talking about Jesus, but in very much the same way he asked for smokes. He was definately shorter than this John Doe.

When I posted this either

When I posted this either the Doe Network or my own oversight listed him as positively 6 feet. Now I see he was from 5'9 to 6. Is that still too tall for the man you and bert are thinking of? Remember, his lower vertebrae were fused so his perceived height might not be identical to his actual anatomical height.
