Saturday was Trish's birthday, and she wanted to spend it with Michelle at the Korean Women's Day Spa in Lynwood. Orion and I would spend the day with Guido, Gavin and William. And Rayanne and Dean, as it turns out... in Monroe. We left Tumwater before breakfast, so we stopped at the Kirkland Brown Bag Cafe (No Sissy Food Here!). IT S GOOD TO BE SATISFIEDIt was packed! They said it would be a twenty-minute wait, so we used the facilities and started looking at the menu (pdf). Trish spotted the word CHIPOTLE in a spicy breakfast item called the Diablo.
Our server asked, "Omelette style or skillet style?" We asked, "Skillet style? What's that?" She replied, "With the hash browns on the bottom." So we tried that with Rye toast. Ordinarily I prefer my hash browns crispy. With skillet style, the pressure and trapped moisture of the ingredients on top fused the potatoes together, like chunky mashed potatoes. We split it. Trish let me have the chipotle salsa. I loved it. I'd love it again Omelette style. Razr Phone Pic of the Diablo SkilletSkin so soft! Scrubbed by professionalsFor dinner Michelle had prepared Chicken Enchiladas Suiza with beans and rice. My Second HelpingI asked if they had any chipotle. In their cupboard they had Chipotle Tabasco! Check it out on the rice. I woke up early on Sunday morning, cleaned the dishes, brewed some French press coffee and started preparing Huevos Rancheros Chipotle with Feta and sweet potato browns. Little Smokies and Smokey Little Hot SauceTrish and Michelle took the little guys swimming at the local YMCA. For lunch we had tomato bisque and a salad. For dinner we went to Alfy's pizza (one of 13 locations). We ordered three take-and-bake pizzas for dinner: A cheese for the kids, a veggie (with pepperonis) for the ladies, and then we had to decide what the men would have. I saw this one:
But Guido vetoed it. The helpful cashier said that we could get the chipotle sauce on any of the pizzas, so we went with the MEAT EATER'S WALLOP Sausage, Pepperoni and Canadian Style Bacon (with chipotle sauce). The Moral of the Story is: Clowns prefer CHIPOTLE at four out of five meals.
