A sporting clays event on April 27th. This is a non-registered shoot, so anyone can come out and give this exciting sport a try, or just watch.

You can get the club info and directions from their site below.

Neat

And a great public outreach.  Do you think they have any scatterguns with a lenght of pull that fit me?  That's one reason I don't have a scattergun right now...

I feel for ya!

we have the same but opposite problem with Sandy on getting long guns to fit her. You would LYAO if you saw her trap gun.

With that said, there are lots of guys out there, most are very friendly and willing to share a gun or help out newbies. So it might be worth it to try.

What is the LOP you looking for,,,about 16-16.5?

You could shoot mine, but it is pretty standard LOP of 14.25

I think

between 16.5 and 17.5 I would have to measure it.  Standard guns are too short for me of course.

Never done any trap or skeet shooting.  Always looked at a shotgun as more of an offensive tool, or maybe for taking deer.  I should learn the finer arts of shooting something moving across the sky though.

Skeet and trap are very challenging

and a hell of a lot of fun. I believe Skeet is a bit more difficult, but I'm sure trapshooters would disagree. Regardless, it's a lot of fun. If you want to shoot a gun too small for you, or anyone else here that might like to try shotgun sports, let me know.
