Joe keeps Papa November: Especially check out his recent photos of flame autumn leaves against blue skies. Peregrinate is kept by Mike Kretzler:I had a wonderful time as a Boy Scout. My troop had a scheduled outing each month and in that way went on my first backpack at age eleven. I learned how to build a fire, cook a meal over flames, carry my gear over miles of muddy trail, sleep in a tent in the rain, and generally have a good time in the out of doors. From that early experience, I was able to become a confident hiker and backpacker. I've carried that with me for over four decades. Sky Cosby also blogs on Pirate Papa: I consider myself to be a pirate in some contemporary sense of the word. This is the lens through which I try to view our world. I am a nice pirate, where others rape and pillage I salvage and sow; where others sack and burn I liberate and grow. Read What I've Got to Say from Jack: I feel like I ran a marathon on my hands yesterday, but the soreness is negligible when considering the awesomeness of my juggling last night. I was at the Evergreen State College Juggling Club for nearly four hours and basically juggled non-stop that whole time. Robin Snow blogs on Rowan Shadowwolf: I processed two pumpkins yesterday. Last Sunday, Victoria drove me all over so that I could find some sugar pumpkins (the best for cooking). We went to Safeway, Fred Meyer, and MegaFoods before we finally found some at Albertsons. $1.50 each! Yea! I got eight. I added the seeds from the two that I cooked yesterday to some saltwater before I roasted them. They are sooo good! Rum Death Orgy Show is another place to read Merwyn Haskett: So I wanted to get some coffee at Evergreen, and my only option after 5:00 was the Sem II Cafe. I'd gone their often since it opened but hadn't been in since last Spring. I walked in and there was a huge line. No problem, I thought, I could wait. The line moved at a glacial pace. Had there been a glacier behind us we would have been overtaken. ***

Blogging
Submitted by Sarah on Wed, 10/31/2007 - 12:40pm.I do have your wordpress blog mentioned in Get Personal & Blog Local (J - M), I think I found out about it initially through your profile here on OlyBlog.
Eventually I plan to write more on how I follow local blogs, but some quick hints in general for searching and also building traffic is to use Technorati, try other blog searches (do google searches for blog search sites and browse through), do a google search on blog traffic to get you started on ideas for building traffic, and tell folks about your blog just like you are here.
Many options exist for connecting with readers, including MyBlogLog.
You can certainly post here on your blog about links to your other posts elsewhere, several members do that.
Oh and make sure your blog publishes a feed that folks using feed aggregrators can pick up. For the Oly public Bloglines I'm using the Bloglines service, anyone can set one up for themselves to help consolidate what they are reading online. Google Reader is one of the many other alternatives.
As for myspace, I know trillions of people love it, but I personally have difficulty dealing with most myspace visual formats, way too busy for me. Plus bloglines usually doesn't find a public (not having to log in first) feed for me on myspace blogs.
Good questions, feel free to ask any anytime.
