I owe Pete Bohmer an apology.  I didn't realize the thread I was commenting on last night was actually written by him.  I would not have made the level of harsh, even attacking statements I did if I had been paying more attention.

I stand by my anger with what he said  now, and in the past, but I apologize for attacking him directly on one of his posts.  It was uncalled for, and I should have (1) paid better attention to who iniated the thread and (2) held my tongue better.

Sorry.

Thanks for that S6

Your post/anger on the other thread did bring up a question for me that I've been mulling over: what's with the avowed capitalists on OlyBlog making such regular use of a socialist resource like this? Wouldn't the capitalist model be to beat OlyBlog? Or is that the point of getting on here and arguing all the time instead of creating content? (this last question is not directed at you S6 as you're one of the few folks who regularly contribute content)

I've been mulling over that myself

There aren't many attractive options. SondraK's site?

I think you're right on the money, there.

Attacking

You are willing to attack, but just not on one of his own posts? I have to point out the cowardliness of your position. If you are going to attack, the best place to do it is on one of his own posts.

But remember the rules here on OlyBlog. Personal attacks are not allowed. It's okay to "attack" the message here, but NOT the messenger.

Well, he did apologize for

Well, he did apologize for attacking him - his ignorance of who he was notwithstanding. Pete Bohmer is a public figure and as such is eligible for public praise or criticism as the case might be. By criticism I don't mean personal attack.

If, for the sake of argument, Bush and Cheney both created honest-to-goodness Olyblog accounts (and never once participated in a mud-storm) would that mean criticism of their administration would no longer be allowed?
