Got bugs?

Winged things are swarming inside, oh my! Anyone else dealing with bugs? I've been through several types of ant invasions in my time. And a friend with a gorgeous hand built wood cabin experienced the joys of termites.

These bugs this time probably aren't ants and they probably are absolutely no danger to anything other than our sanity. I'm changing my habit of doors and windows wide open, now only screened is allowed open.

Ever heard of a Cheese Skipper? Not what we have but intriguing anyway. As long as they stay away from moi.

Once upon a time in the

Once upon a time in the teenage years I had fruit flies in the downstairs bathroom (something about throwing an apple core in the wastebin and not taking it out for months.)

Got rid of the trash, vacuumed and scrubbed. Didn't work.

Got out the Vacuum Hose. Problem eliminated.

It's a fair call, but Society's to blame. ~ Right! We'll be charging them too!

Cheese Jumpers

The book _Bizarrism_ by Chris Mikul includes a chapter on Bellerive (Joseph Tishler), Australia's greatest bad poet. It includes "Cheese Jumpers," his ode to "The little white jumpers/That live in old cheese." Cheese skppers are black, which means that there's more than one species of bug infesting our fermented curds. What did they do before we invented cheese? --Scott

Tammy's out of town until

Tammy's out of town until Sunday night, I'm all by my lonesome, and I didn't eat lunch today so I'm starving.

In about ten minutes I'll be trying to make up my rassoodock where I'll go. I haven't decided between the Reef, or Le Voyeur, or Bamboo, or Peppers. I hate eating in public by myself so I always carry in a book and/or grab a Stranger/Seattle Weekly and that way pretend that I'm attending to business.

It's a fair call, but Society's to blame. ~ Right! We'll be charging them too!

OlyBlog expands your mind (and vocabulary)

I had to look up rassoodock and am pleased to add to my already eccentric and eclectic vocab. As for eating out, I always have book or Stranger/Weekly or maybe even journal to scribble in. Waiting for things time = time to read.

We can choose dining for you, I suggest Le Voyeur tonight.

If I wouldn't have bugged

If I wouldn't have bugged out right at five I might've seen your suggestion and gotten a black bean quesadilla or perhaps even that mushroom gravy open faced tofu sandwich thing that's kinda good.

But instead I went to the Broho and had a beer outside with Josh Bomb. An hour later I went to the reef and pretended to read the Weekly.

Just as I accidentally opened up the page that has all those interesting advertisements with the pictures and phone numbers a kid walked past and I quickly slammed the paper shut sit-com style.

It's a fair call, but Society's to blame. ~ Right! We'll be charging them too!

Wait wait wait. You read the stranger to look like you are attending to business. What kind of business are you trying to look like you are attending to?

Oh we read it for the articles.

All funning aside, they do run some good articles. Read Killer Bodies as an example.

Well, I do co-host a show on KAOS. And that's at Evergreen. Somehow or other that has to tie into the ads for Mistress Matiste.

Greene Party

Like a vacuum packed lid of a jar of Sunny Jim Peanut Butter being opened for the first time, the top of my cranium went "Shhhhoooop!" as I suddenly wondered, without warning, who Lorne Greene would vote for in the 2008 U.S. Presidential election.

But it was a trick question I was asking myself. Lorne was Canadian.

I realize an LA story

I realize an LA story doesn't belong on Olyblog, but I read the email in Olympia so that's my justification:

Tammy personally witnessed C-List celebrity Andy Dick get falling down can't-walk drunk. He then got into an altercation with a one-eyed homeless man and was knocked down on his seat.

Between witnessing that and chatting with Phil Keaggy on the air she's been having a star-filled week.

It's a fair call, but Society's to blame. ~ Right! We'll be charging them too!

»

Perfectly fine here

I wonder if Andy is gonna survive himself. Falling down drunk is mighty drunk.
