As a few of you know I stopped by the broho last week to help a friend with some wifi. While there I ran into 2 bloggers and both commented on how things have been a lil.."tense" on the blog lately. Both agreed that it wasn't quite this tense when we were all meeting up and having to face one another as actual human beings rather than pixels. It was suggested that we should have a lil get together and maybe some things will smooth out or at least a turn into a drunken mess that might be amusing. This has also manifested in my inbox as of late, a few minutes ago being my last message.

What say you, people of Olyblog, mighty online community of thinkers, problem-solvers, activists and of course reporters? I was told the tune stranglers aren't around until the end of June, possibly a different venue is in the cards? I think we all owe Rick and Co a beer for the hard work they put into shifting/phasing the blog to it's new location. This is notice: Keep Monday evening open.

UPDATE: for all who can, let's try and meet up at Artisan's around 6:30'ish. If there are enough of us we'll probably hang around for a little while I would think. They close at 10pm if I'm getting it right, and are located at 109 Capitol

Two words:

Artisan's Cafe.

drop by after meetings

Good thoughts here, but I'm swamped with Council meetings...

...maybe I'll come by later & see if anyone is around...

do you-all have an OlyBlog table sign?

How can I find the O-Blog posse in the wild?

Idea: logo party to design an 2007 OlyBlog logo to use at cafe press? Caps, mugs, and more bling!

Anythoughts?

I'm down for whatever

but if we are going to do this we should set a time. Rick and Chad I thank you for your feedback but it doesn't seem like we are getting much interest here.

I have to get my haircut and shop for clothing (bleh) after work but it shouldn't take me long.

Is there anyone else out there that wants a get-together? I really feel like this is important for the social health of the blog, but I can't twist any arms either.

I don't really enjoy hanging

I don't really enjoy hanging out where I can't hear anyone talk which is what always happened at the Broho. If we meet somewhere quieter then I will probably be game. I have to talk to the husby though and see what his crazy schedule is for sure.

I think we were trying to

I think we were trying to get away from the broho because of that. Rick suggested the Artistan Cafe. I know NOTHING about them do you?

Check with the hubby and see what you can find out.

Coffee is better.

I'm up for it. someone pick a time, I'll be there!

IF you can't make it there around 6:30 don't sweat it, just show up when you can. I'll try and log back in before I go but I have to go buy a sports coat for an interview before I go.

FYI

If anyone familiar with the place knows better directions please post them....I'm assuming this is the shop that's almost next to the broho but I hate assumptions.

I was there at 6:30. I was one of the two or three guys who were there keeping to themselves with a book or laptop. I didn't want to approach strangers and go "um...uh...um...are you guys...I mean...do you know...is this Olyblog?" I left about 7:30ish.

Maybe next week?

I got there at 630, hung around until a little before 730.

No

Olycop has NO hair at all. Last I saw him he had a lil goatee as well. I'd go on to describe him but I'm not sure what color level he is this week as far as national security ;)

Identify yer OlyBlog

I'll make it down at some point and I'll make sure we have a piece of paper or somethin' that identifies us.
»

I'm thinking Olyblog beanies

or T-shirts that say I "heart" Olyblog! Or maybe we should all try and wear a certain color of clothing.

Thanks for jumping in here Sarah I needed the boost. I'm going to start another thread here soon on a meeting time/place and we'll see how it goes.

OG mentioned Thursdays, how are thurs for everyone else??

»

Sorry guys.

I really wanted to be there, but dinner didn't wrap up until eight... Next Monday also I have fundraising meeting 6-8. Argh.
