I told the representative staffers that I need Congressman Baird to do everything in his power to oppose an attack on Iran given the absence of transparent and thoroughly verifiable evidence that Iran might pose an imminent threat to the USA.

Given how the Bush Administration's use of false pretenses led to an unnecessary attack on Iraq - it's crucial that Congress, and my Congressman, do everything in their power to insure against another unjustified, unlawful aggressive attack.

No Iran war

Thank you Robert. We definately don't need yet another unjust war.

Similar Events around the Country

There were nearly three hundred such similar events put on yesterday around the country. According to an email from Ilyse Hogue:
Here's a run down of what we accomplished together. Just under 300 groups of MoveOn members delivered more than 167,000 signatures to Representatives around the country. From Paducah, KY to San Diego, CA, MoveOn members delivered a clear message that constituents want their elected officials to oppose Bush's rush to war. 94% of your events included a face-to-face meeting with local congressional staff.
That's a powerful statement against the war, and for holding the Bush Administration to account for its misleadership.
