It is said that in ancient Egypt, a clay crocodile was strapped to a person's head to relieve their migraines.

We can add this to our list of possible caiman benefits for Olympia. Several business opportunities are ripe: caiman meat products, caiman skin boots and other leather goods, along with caimans complete with head strap to be worn during migraines.

Imagine the dining and fashion possibilities.

It would have be a relatively young caiman. Unless, or course, you invented a kind of gurney contraption where a full-grown caiman was strapped to your head while supported by metal rods. Ground supports with little wheels would enable you to be mobile. Getting into elevators, climbing stairs, riding the bus, etc. might be a problem with a full-grown caiman with the elaborate hardware on your head and surrounding your body. So we would have to pass laws and change the infrastructure in order to make Olympia "caiman-wearing-migraine-sufferers" friendly. Since I don't live in Olympia, or even Thurston County, or suffer from migraines, I can't really push this idea, but perhaps some courageous citizen in your fine city will have the guts to stand up and make this a part of a political platform while running for public office.

I've discovered that I am sensitive to caimans, they give me migraines, and make me sneeze. So, although I live in Olympia and have migraines and at times am courageous, I'll only be able to stand and observe from a distance when caiman wearing is demonstrated.

Perhaps I can write the lyrics for the campaign theme song.

I know I'll probably regret asking, but how did you discover you are sensitive to caimans and that they make you sneeze and give you migraines?

Everyone is allowed to make some mistakes and I....made several. You really don't want to know the details. Ignorance is bliss in this arena.

When I used the word "arena"

When I used the word "arena" I of course did not mean a real arena, I never saw an arena south of town where caimans run humans through various sporting competitions for their own caimanite amusement. No such arenas exist and you cannot get there by car.

I was just using creative language. I was never there and will never speak about what I saw. It does not exist anyway. The arena.

Since these are caimans with opposable thumbs (see comments in "This is a test" 11/06/05), they no doubt use "Thumbs up" (see comments "Thumbs down: The Olympian" 11/26/05) when condemning or humiliating their prey. So (he slyly asks) how did you escape? And why do they let you survive to tell the tale, or at least hint at it? Was there a tuba at that event playing John Philip Sousa? (see comments in "Check those closets" 1/10/06)
