For a closer view Mouse-click the individual posters. Sometimes there are mouseovers, so check...if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm enjoying your flyer series...

...and I do hope that people took the time to go see Persepolis this week. It was AMAZING.

Persepolis

I am sorry that I missed it, well, actually I'll check if it's ongoing. I hope you don't mind if I ask: what did you like so much about it?
»

I competely agree

For those who missed it, you should rent it!

Bert, It was so impressive because it was able to tell the recent history of Iran in a factual, yet funny way. It was a tragic tale told with much humor. The main character was so sympathetic and real that it shows that a life lived halfway around the world can be like our own. Plus, the animation was cute! :]

I'm just getting started on

I'm just getting started on olyblog, and was wondering how you did that-- made pictures show up in the body of the text. So far I can only figure out how to attach pictures, which is frustrating. Any pointers would be great!

embedding pictures in the text

Working through an external service is really the way to go: flickr, google pictures, etc. After that it's just a matter of learning a little bit of html in order to embed them into your posts. Once you get an external account let me know and I can send you an e-mail that walks you through the steps.

OFS Movie addition

There's a one-time screening of Imagination on Sat at 9pm w/ Director Q&A. Looks good. Trippy, but good.
»

yeah

I saw that on their schedule, I just haven't come across the poster yet.

I didn't forget

All event posters are pictures I take while walking around downtown. If an event isn't represented it's because neither a poster nor a flyer were put up in a place I was walking.

Field guide

enpen, do you have a suggestion for some spots to visit if we want to see these in their native habitat-- where the Oly posters tend to congregate?

You're an art anthropologist! I'm enjoying this series.

my spots

Rainy Day Records, Dumpster Values and Old School are almost always on my walks. Everything else is pretty hit-or-miss. The library has a pretty consistent stream, but for some reason I only recently clued in on taking pictures of posters there. There should be poster boards in alleys...

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I feel more like I'm paying my dues as an outsider, learning from the existent local arts in order to better develop my Olympia poetry.
