I figured I would start out by saying that I'm new to Olympia, I have been a frequent guest of Olyblog since I got here in Feb., I am now hoping to add my own 2 cents to some of the topics discussed here. Furthermore I am an artist, I just finished a new piece and seeing how the subject matter might be able to relate to several of the users on Olyblog I figured I would post it, just to get peoples thoughts. Thanks for listening, have a good night.

No, but close
Submitted by Norm on Thu, 05/31/2007 - 9:01am....there's N'garai involved. That's a different story than the one I'm thinking of though.

second impression
Submitted by enpen on Thu, 05/31/2007 - 5:12pm.The first thing that stuck with me for awhile is your use of oil derricks for shading. Going back to it then, the dualities in appearances and effects really stands out.

Submitted by Norm on Thu, 05/31/2007 - 7:15pm."Kitty, Alone in the Dark." is the story with N'garai.
The quote is "Welcome to the X-men Kitty Pryde, Hope You Survive the Experience!" from this issue. It became something of an inside joke whenever a new character joined the X-men. The cover had the new person facing incredible odds, or the other X-men, with that quote attached to the cover. Also, I just learned, this is the first issue where Wolverine was called "Logan". Yes, I'm a nerd.
Nice piece of history

Submitted by Norm on Thu, 05/31/2007 - 8:07pm.A fellow comic book fan. With good taste as well, Sandman was a great storyline and the use of so many different artists added to it. It truly took the world by storm.
I didn't mention it earlier because I was distracted, but your piece is really quite impressive.
Welcome to the fold :)
