Fear them.

This is a trick

Caimans posted this poll in order to find out who they should target.

Vote at your own risk.

I know the reptile part of my brain well enough

to say that I have absolutely no respect for the ability of reptiles to outsmart me.

I, for one,

sign of the caiman

Ah, the sign appears once again: ^@^

Somwhere here on OlyBlog there is a post with a photo of brave Olympians flashing the caiman sign in unison at the Broho. Hold your hands out palm down, extend middle finger as the snout of the caiman, tuck the other fingers in.

I'm told that even recently a silent battle of caiman signs occurred downtown, one participant in a car, the other in a restaurant.

Chilling.

I know not of that to which you refer,

and was one of the participants in aforementioned caiman battle. though my worthy foe may feel other wise, I belive that I was the victor. FLOD!

Bravery in action

You and your foe deserve crowns of laurel in honor of your dedication to enacting ancient rituals of caimanetic battle. Perhaps by these actions the two of you prevent caiman incursions - caimans are hypnotized by the flying hand gestures and cannot continue with their pursuit of puppies and kittens.

Does your foe know that you claim victory?

Caimans in Olympia?

I know I have been away from Olympia for several years, but what is all this mention of caimans? Are South American reptiles infesting Olympia now?
»

Observe, then Weep

Yes, I'm sorry to say caimans have been in the Fetid Lake of Doom (formerly known as "Capitol Lake") for over a couple years now. This short 8-page visual essay will reveal all.

After reading it, you'll see why Rick's first statement in this thread is not a warning, it's a threat!! You might also have seen the news that the annual Polar Bear Swim is moving from the Fetid Lake of Doom because the Fetid Lake of Doom is too fetid, and going to Long Pig Lake. Hey, caimans can read too, you know.

Someone help me out here

what is a suitable round to use for defensive purposes against these awful beings?  Will a high power .30 caliber do, or should I get something more potent, say an RPG?  :-)
»

They wear Kevlar

even their fedoras are Kevlar

»

They wear fedoras?

Gee that is my Linux distro...

Well crud, I'll just have to use high velocity .30 cal armor piercing then.  Dang, there goes the barrel of my rifle.

»

this is creepy

I am way over here in Cambodia where strange things happen daily, and yet the news about Caimans in Capitol Lake is the most disturbing thing I have heard in some time. What I cannot seem to understand is how they manage to thrive in such a cool northern climate. What sorts of solutions are being proposed? Olympia started to go south when heroin came to town in the mid-90's, but heck are palm trees blowing the breeze now?

No palm trees, but NASCAR

No palm trees, but NASCAR has come pretty close, more than once, to setting up a track in various neighboring counties.

Please give me a second grace. Please give me a second face. I've fallen far down, the first time around, now I just sit on the ground in your way.

The caiman have their minions

I have it on good authorty that the caiman are transported around town during colder weather upon the roofs of the cars of their minions, probably without their express knowledge, and sometimes with. If you see a vehicle with a device on the roof like the following durig the winter you can be fairly certain a caiman is being moved about. If you inspect these devices closely, but not too closely, mind you, you will notice the tell tale sign of bits of nutria fur around the opening.
