In keeping with the spirt of archetypes, my experience of Enuma Elish's accompaniment of Metropolis at the OFS Capitol Theater will be in the form of a blog poem...bloem? poog? Yeah, here's my poog (with a mere two mouseovers).

Jazz in the theater
still white screen
"I've heard of this place"
deep below shift change
the worker's city
heads down roll shuffle
circle cubed miracle of entertaining
of chase
and catch the children play
gracious host the fountain fourth
a calling
scalding
industrail sacrifice
the gods are loco-
mostion shadows for shadows
straight up trade
calmly
you the brain of this
city
melodramatic flair
those damned plans
oh well stagger
step stagger step
growing stronger
I still have a long way
to go tonight
at the machine
11811
Rotwang, the inventor
died
giving birth price to pay
her hips her eyes
her tits pentacled
code to be cracked
an alchemy of entrances
the feminine crossed
hired hands
must be the heart
for the favor of a
woman
I shall sow discord
a note
held kissingly
parted
the candle out
bones understanding
Intermezzo
11811
Josaphat is over powered
the black gauntlet
the stairs
behind locked doors down
the strength of a
scarf
mad scientist metaphor
heart beats
left eye lisp with father
I can't believe my eyes
a new Erotic Dancer
for whom the beast sleeps
golden chalice in hand
Furioso
The Boot
a bitter 1 - 2
white face in a chair claim the right
but your mediator
has not come
the machine joints
a shield stabbed
11811
oil of the revolution
grain elevator 326
children remain
14 M 2
Have you gone mad?
an arrow of humanity
water over the rug
the big Tomorrow meet-up
the drowning
the Thin Man when
the power goes out
and climb the last
of the children
Joh Frederson, where is my son?
Frankenstein has a posse
pyre of yesterday
my Hel
into the Bishop's chair
your children saved
a rooftop barbarism
the Inventor is lost
hands in pants
don't have the heart
to do it must be the heart
The End

Great Post :)

I'd never noticed that light before...beautiful photo. I think I've been exposed to more arts in this post than I had in my first 10 years of life :)

I like OFS...is it obvious?

Olympia should grow it, shine it up, like an Oyster its pearl.

Thanks for the good words.

sort of...?

I wrote it as the movie was playing. Play-by-play poem filled with lines from the film.

I like it

I totally forgot about the show until it was too late.  Oh well.  Nice poem tells a good story.  I read the synopis of Metropolis so I actually understood a decent bit of it.
