Submitted by Anonymously Larry on Mon, 01/21/2008 - 11:30am.I'm a huge fan of Northwest Rock and Roll - that being the local bands of the 50s and 60s, when local airtime was actually possible.
Corporate radio has ruined regional sound. Thinking beyond the Northwest Sound, there was Motown and the Philly Sound, that became national hits. Without their start on a local or regional level, they would have never "happened".
