Poor People's Movement for Shelter, downtown

In case you missed over the weekend, an impromptu homeless shelter was set up in the Artesian Well parking lot. Here's the latest update, from an event posting on Facebook:

"Facing eviction from the City, the Homeless Shelter has taken refuge on State property, at Washington & B Street. We're still up and running. Please stop by and show your support!!"
Photos of the weekend shelter were posted on Occupy Olympia FB Page: Homeless Shelter by Olympia Artesian Well

Further update

The shelter has been evicted from the Artesian Well, and moved to a new location, near the intersection of Washington Street and B Avenue, on the port peninsula, here's a map: http://goo.gl/maps/jLy88

A very small number of people are holding down the shelter, and they need a help. Here are words from someone close:

"they need help"they need food immediately"they need a community presence"they're being harassed by the police and the troopers and the union gospel mission"they're being threatened and there isn't anyone there to back them up"I might not be able to get down there today. Can you? Bring food? something warm to drink?

I know that your efforts will be majorly appreciated, by many people.
