ia roughly 3 miles SW of downtown Olympia. I believe the towers carry communication recievers for things like public safety radio traffic and the land is all privately owned.
Out of curiosity, I drew a line on a Google Map, and the line of sight also leads pretty close to the Cedar Creek Corrections Facility, but that is about 15 or 20 miles or so away.
Laurian is right. The big tower is in the side yard of a large, rambling house on the side of Bush Mountain. You can see it easily from my neighborhood on Trosper Road. The owners of the house once told me (in the grocery store line, years ago) they make a modest but useful amount of money from the cell phone companies and radio stations that have their repeaters up there.
