I'll end up voting for
Submitted by The Fire Inside on Thu, 01/31/2008 - 5:06am.I'll end up voting for McCain.
Romney is just too...I don't know? Does he strike anyone else as being really, really fake? It's like he's a parody of a politician.
I don't think there's any doubt McCain would do what he believed was best for the country. I think President Bush acts in what he believes in the US' best interest, but there are a lot of questions which have dogged his administration from the beginning. McCain spent years in a Vietnamese prison camp for his country and has served as a respected senator.
I think we could be in a really good debate - and one that will have a lot of people interested.

Submitted by stevenl on Thu, 01/31/2008 - 5:42am.The interesting thing about the Republicans this round is that no matter who they nominate, that nominee will alienate some big segment of the party. I thought Fred Thompson would've been the one to unite them, but he fizzed out fast. I would expect Keyes and Paul to run in third party or independent bids very soon. McCain (or Romney) will have a real challenge trying to heal the Republicans before election day. This has been a fun one to watch. McCain will be a formidable nominee. But what works in the primaries sometimes doesn't work in the general.
You're right TFI, Romney does strike me as "really really fake", as opposed to just "really fake" like the others. Hey, pass the popcorn. 2008 is going to be fascinating.
Out of the two, definitely McCain

Submitted by Anonymously Larry on Thu, 01/31/2008 - 7:26pm.Romney gets elected to a liberal state and then makes a hard right turn on his way to find the White House.
McCain lost me when he wouldn't stand up to Bush and Rove's depolorable tactics. I'm waiting to see when Romney unleashes his money and attack dogs at McCain to see if he can get him to fold the way Bush did.
