Snow falling on boats...

Started down here last night, it was pretty and so quiet.  Same thing this morning.

I wish

That there was still an active anchorage in downtown.  Anchoring out is fun.  DNR regulations make it nearly impossible to anchor out more than 30 days at a time now.  Of course if you can convince the city council to lease a section of tideland and sublet it to you, then you can put down an anchor long term...

I miss Oly...

But I don't miss the cold! I'm in Arizona right now working at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show and visiting family for the winter. It has been in the 70s here! I am wearing shorts as I type this! I grew up in the desert, so snow is kind of alien to me. I sure wish I was up there to experience it! But I'm glad that I'm at least out of the cold. Stay warm, Olympia!

Phoenix

In two weeks, I can't wait!

I was shocked

I payed no attention to the news over the weekend (it was kind of nice) and was a little surprised when I walked out the door this morning.

Feeling less peaceful . . .

For some reason King County Metro (public transportation) has their act thrown all off by less than an inch of snow and it made me really late. I waited for the bus (which was rather late) and then finally walked to school. I was a half hour late to my first class!

(For any of you who don't know, I'm a student at the UW.)

I once again had to deal

I once again had to deal with scared drivers who had no business being out on the road. They just make it more dangerous for competent drivers when they go out and creep along.
