It's a gorgeous day and I encourage you, if you can, to get out for at least a little bit and wade in the equinox sunshine. You might want to wear a rain jacket. And keep your eyes out for rainbows!

Olyblogging in the yard, eh?

Do you use a blackberry or some such similar device for that? I am enjoying the fantastic image of outdoors OlyBlogging! I suppose I could set up a tent in case of rain and bring my computer outside too.

I'm not doing both at the same time.  I'm only a geek in the office.  I was sitting through a Live Meeting discussion and wasn't interested in the PPT so I played around on the web while listening to an audio cast of the event.  Over in 5 minutes...

EDIT:  Hey!  Olyblog hasn't changed it's time to reflect PDT.

panoramas

First I take the pictures. I use a manual setting to keep the exposure consistent throughout the series.

Second, I usually resize the original photographs to smaller, more manageable file sizes. Then I use either Canon "Photostitch" or Photoshop "Photomerge" to compose the panorama. Sometimes one application works slightly better than the other, depending on the composition of the photos, I guess.

There are a lot of options for creating panoramas.

If you are interested in Panoramas, Olympia has an excellent Panorama maker named Randy Kosek. He composed the banner headline for OlyBlog. Check out his stuff: http://flickr.com/photos/akameus/
