I went for a midnight bike ride / photography session to Madison Scenic Park earlier tonight. It felt wonderful; the night was beautiful, calm, quiet and warm (relatively). The smell of spring was in the air.

Madison Scenic Park Vista

As I was riding away from the park I glanced back at the Capitol Building. It appeared that the lights in/on the Dome had been extinguished. I wonder if that is standard procedure. Are the Dome lights turned off after a certain hour? It would make sense in an effort to conserve energy.

I could hear frogs croaking in my neighborhood (Upper Eastside!). I love that sound.
