Repost: Come to Tacoma! We need you to represent the independent media voices of Olympia- of course dressed in court attire.

Today it was announced that Lacey Phillabaum will be the first to testify against Briana Waters.

Phillabaum has been put on the witness list for tomorrow, and it is uncertain which part of the day she will be called. There is also a chance earlier witnesses could take longer than expected, pushing Lacey's testimony back until Friday. It is important for people to be packing the courtroom whenever she is up there testifying. We are putting out a call for witnesses to come and observe court in support of Briana for both days!

First day results from Briana Waters Trial

Its Monday morning at 8:30 am, and already 20 people are gathered in the rotunda of the Federal Courthouse in Tacoma, WA to observe the proceedings and support Briana and her family, and the possibility of a fair trial.
To find out more about who is testifying tomorrow, go to the article.

First day results from Briana Waters Trial

Jury selection began at 9:00 am and what was expected to last only a few hours ended up taking most of the day. Unsurprisingly, most of Briana's supporters were not allowed in the courtroom during the jury selection until the overflow of jurors were eventually let go around 3:00pm and there was more room. After a short break Briana's supporters filled the audience area, along with various media outlets and trial sketch artists.
In the final hour several issues were resolved regarding the procedures of the trial, and it was determined that the Defense Attorneys would be provided the names of upcoming witnesses one day in advance. They will also be provided with a summary of what their testimony will be.

Find out who will be testifying the next day at the www.CLDC.org web site! Also keep checking Indymedia for important trial updates.

The schedule for tomorrow looks like:
9am-noon Opening Statements
12-1 lunch break
1pm-4Pm Taking the stand : FBI Agent J. Comrey, Glenn, Cooper, Phillips, and Rice
