Do views of the Capitol Campus belong to the public? Is it appropriate for views of the Capitol Campus of State Government to be privatized? Can a denial of the proposed rezone be understood as acting in the public interest? - I think you know where I stand. - bert Don't Wall Off the Waterfront! Well,
Submitted by Just another voice on Fri, 09/12/2008 - 1:14pm.And actually, Bert, most of the views from your pictures will actually be preserved based on the corridor conceptual design by TriWay.
Many of the views are already blocked by the 1 story businesses when you're walking along 4th by BayView anyway.

Well, I realize that you're just another voice, but
Submitted by Bert on Fri, 09/12/2008 - 2:18pm.My position on the trees v. condo argument is very simple. I would much rather have my view blocked by trees than by condominiums - luxury condominiums at that.
As far as the views being blocked by existing businesses / agencies, my response is simply that the best use for that area would be as a public park - a central park - a novel feature that would attract residents, visitors, and investors to the downtown core.
As to whether or not you're a good OlyBlogger? That's for you to decide.
