Grays Harbor County got hammered this morning, sounds like the winds are picking up now in Oly-town.

Good way to stay on top of weather and road conditions (when you have power) is to keep us updated here and keep an eye on the WSDOT site and the National Weather Service.

There's about three inches

There's about three inches of water in my basement right now.

Floods

My entire shop has flooded. The Olympian has just reported that roughly 1.2 million gallons of untreated wastewater has been released into Budd Inlet, due to the LOTT plant being overwhelmed. I had to cancel appointments in Shelton. Thurston County Sheriffs are turning people away from 101 interchange due to mudslides.

Want to know what's in those 1.2 million gallons of water

read the "New" stuff.

My lights are flickering!

Please, not again!

Here in McCleary

Power was out for almost 3 hours this morning. One of my giant pine trees fell over, blocking traffic on my street and wrecking my fence. The city crew got out the chain saw and cleared the road, but now I have a situation to deal with. Lights still occasionally flicker. Gutter fish are all over my lawn.

My home is surrounded by water

Oh wait, I live on a boat.  This is a good thing!  (Sorry, I had to inject some levity into this mess) The road going to the marina is flooded though.  Had to use my dinghy to get downtown...  (don't own a car, so eithe walk or boat downtown anyway.  Really wanted to walk today though...)

All I can say is that I would storm Hell with a seagull engine and a livingston dinghy..,

Cooper Point Rd./Cedrona/Madera/TESC Area

There is a lake, literally, at the entrance to Cedrona/Madera.  The only way to get in or out is go through Madera out past the TESC college housing and loop back to Kaiser.  There were 3 tractor trailer tow trucks pulling out cars and one car is nose down in the water & water is running over the hood & windshield of it!

20th St. off Cooper Point going towards Division is now closed off right before the turn to LP Brown elementary.

Cooper Point is flooded over at the Goldcrest entrance and the road to Hansen Elem. & Marshall Middle schools.

My kiddo at Capital said there were only about 10 people in her classes of 30+ because most of the kids were out on Steamboat and couldn't get in.

She also said her best friend out on Delphi Rd. is being evacuated by the fire department due to flooding and she couldn't get to school either.

It's a zoo out there!  I only ventured out because Mr. Onry bought me a 50 inch HD Plasma to hang over my fireplace in the family room yesterday for Christmas and I needed to trade in my old cable box for a HD/DVR box!  I must be a slave to TV!

Hubby went into Dupont for work today and said if you can swim through Olympia going North, the highways are fine but not to leave town and try & get back in because I-5 on to 101 is a total parking lot, probably due to the mudslide down towards Steamboat.

Coming home from Comcast, I was thinking today might be a great day to get out & do some Christmas shopping because nobody else will be out!  LOL!

I'm pimping the Moxlie thread

because it's all about stormwater as are today's inconveniences.
