The checks started going out this week. What are you going to purchase?

Mine's either going towards my student loans or its going towards a new computer.

Subject as I am to the Permanent Income Hypothesis

and being fortunate enough to be free of extraordinary budget constraints, my general level of consumption changed slightly at the time the rebate was announced. So, a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

Student loan got mine

The feds can just take the $ direct, that is what happened to me. I do owe on student loans so I really can't complain. Though I might have muttered a bit when I first was notified.

Mine is going to go towards

Mine is going to go towards a trip to NY in August to see Yankee Stadium one more time.

Mind burning it down while

Mind burning it down while you're out there? There's one big building I wouldn't mind being turned into a wilderness preserve.

With exception of Wilson,

You are all bad Americans. George Bush wants you to buy new stuff. It's called a stimulus package because it's supposed to stimulate the economy. It doesn't do that if you don't buy stuff you don't need. If our economy continues to tank, it is going to be all your fault.

I always knew I was the best

I always knew I was the best American around here.

I'm going to Joe Hyler's business

and buying something cool. And then maybe some pot.

You're a double good American.

Buying luxury items AND investing in our interests abroad.

I'm going to buy somethng at Michael Nutter's

to make up for Olyblog's "rock throwing."
»

really?

rock throwing? That's an appropriate association?

image

Oh, don't get started on "association"

That's a Mike thread. Yes, "rock throwing " might be a little over the top, but so was treating the "story" as if it belonged on the front page. One exageration spawned another I suppose. Absolutely preposterous! Now, you can turn this around and focus on me or my analogy if you like. I invited that by posting this. I'll just let my earlier objections stand for themselves and let it go at that. Good timing though. Sunday is Mother's Day!

I love you, Jim

And I'll be sure to send you a card on Sunday.

Well, Sunday is my brithday too by the way.

...kiss kiss.

Well Happy Birthday!

 Mine is on Tuesday.

BTW, my rebate will either go on back taxes, or a Marlin .45/70 guide gun.
