What the Phage?

you caught yourself a super bug and don't know what to do
antibiotics just aren't working and you're feeling worse than blue

you are sniffing round the internet
and much to your surprise
there is talk of a cure
right before your eyes

yes these phages are viruses
that cause no harm
and they surely love to eat
all the bacteria causing infection
that keep you off your feet

in fact right up the street
in the college so green
world renowned research is unfolding
do you know what I mean?

so here is a shout out to Kutter
Guttman
Braddan
Raja
and their crew
we appreciate your labor
and now we have a clue

(I wrote this to help me understand what I was reading and also as a way to pass on the word, really really bad rhymes and all. Any mistakes are my own.)

Not to get off-topic but maybe "phage" can be the official Olyblog euphemism for times when it just has to be said.

Wonderfully subversive too - when we use it here on OlyBlog we can even link back to this phage rap, in the process stealth educating people too.

"Phage it!" can be a great expression, calling upon phages to do what they do so well, eliminate trouble. A way to state frustration along with the wish that something efective step in and solve the problem.

So many possibilities for using the power of the phage.
