I thought

The earlier polls were a bit lacking and should have been rolled into one, with an added option of "other"  to balance it.  No offense to the original poller.  :-)

One loves to posess arms, though they hope to never have occassion for them.

I understand

There have been a couple of small marches supporting Dr. Paul downtown...  C'mon he isn't so horrible.  :-)  A bit ummm radical, but a pretty decent person all around.

This all you need to know about his "decency".

Read this

Here's one quote from one of his newsletters:
On the 1992 L.A. riots: "Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks three days after rioting began. ... What if the checks had never arrived? No doubt the blacks would have fully privatized the welfare state through continued looting. But they were paid off and the violence subsided."

One more for good measure. On gay men with AIDS: "[T]hese men don't really see a reason to live past their fifties. They are not married, they have no children, and their lives are centered on new sexual partners." Also, "they enjoy the attention and pity that comes with being sick."

Yuck. Not very decent in my book, and definitely not presidential.

Thanks Rob, you saved me

from looking that crap up and posting it again.  It was nauseating the first time.

Hmm...

I had not seen those quotes before. Makes me wonder now.  At any rate I think he is right in condeming the welfare state per se, but the racism is not a good thing.  His statement about AIDS is unnaceptable, although from a strictly animal sense it is correct.  Unfortunately we are not animals.

Thanks for bringing these up.

Cheney is a totally different animal

They put him in cryostasis at night and replace his heart once every 3,000 miles. Here's a visual
