Hopefully this storm won't be too bad. Saw lightning last night as I was crossing the bay in my dinghy, that was kewl. Picked up a few extra odds and ends on the off chance the storm gets nasty, which is a sure fire way to ensure everything fizzles. I'm well equiped, but only buy "extras" when I see a storm coming, which only happens when I would rather spend my money on other stuff, ensuring I spent money on stuff I couldn't afford and don't need :-) So my wallet and preparation habits says nothing bad. So now of course I just jinxed everything :-) Sorry!

lightning

I thought that I saw lightning last night too, at around 7pm.

Yeah, it was about that time

Mainly on the west side from what I saw...

Branches Down

With the weather forecast, looks like a fun cleanup ahead. Nothing like throwing branches into the woods, off the lawn, just to watch as our Golden goes proudly running in to fetch them for me. I am living in denial- Spring is just right around the corner! If there were a coffee house or lunch spot with sun lamps; I'd be there all the time.

Wind Advisory

National Weather Service has us on wind advisory

Ouch

1 million people without power in CA from this storm earlier, wind gusts up to 165mph in the mountains in NV, counting my blessings.

I envy you six...

...I'd like to ride out the storm in a boat. It would remind me of my childhood.
